Dr. Justice P. Jyothimani enrolled as an advocate in Madras and practised for 29 years and was elevated to the position of a judge of the Madras High Court on December 10, 2005.
Dr. Justice P. Jyothimani enrolled as an advocate in Madras and practised on the Original and Appellate side in the High Court and Civil Courts for 29 years. He served as Legal Advisor of the University of Madras from 1992 to 1998 and was on the panel of lawyers for Food Corporation of India (FCI) from 1996.
Conducted many second appeals CRPs, CMAs and first appeals in the High Court independently as well as writ petitions relating in particular to important cases on education. Also served as counsel for Administrator General and Official Trustee, High Court and Pachaiyapp’s Trust Board, Association of University Teachers, Tamil Nadu, and the Bar Council of Tamil Nadu.
He was conferred a Doctorate in Criminology (Ph.D.) by Madras University. Dr. Justice P. Jyothimani was elevated to the position of a judge of the Madras High Court on December 10, 2005. Appointed as a Judicial Member of the National Green Tribunal with effect from December 24, 2012.
