KFCRI conducted the Two-day Dispute Review Board training program no.1 for the Fellows and Members of Indian Institute of Technical Arbitrators (IITArb) on 28.09.2019 and 29.09.2019.

KFCRI under the aegis of Kovise Foundation, in association with Indian Institute of Technical Arbitrators conducted a two-day training programme on 28.09.2019 and 29.09.2019 for the Fellow members of IITArb. This training program aims at training the participants to effectively understand the DRB Principles and Procedure relating to taking the role of DRB Members by delivering an effective recommendation. Under this project, KFCRI trained the Fellow members of IITArb on DRB’s history, Dispute Resolution Alternatives, DRB Foundation & Practice in various jurisdictions, DRB Core Principles, Allied laws etc.

The participants were provided with an opportunity to get involved in group discussions with trainers and fellow trainees. Case studies enlightened the participants’ outlook towards DRB. Recommendation writing exercises enabled the participants to technically evaluate the essentiality of recommendations with due consideration of its acceptance. The event saw the presence of 12 participants, who were all Fellow members of IITArb. The trainers were Mr.Inbavijayan, an International Arbitrator and Mr.Shivaraman, Council Member and Director Training of IITArb.
